ELIZABETH BRAGGINS

ELIZABETH BRAGGINS (Mus.B., T.Coll.Dip.) is known internationally for her piano playing, singing and composition.
Her self-titled album was a showcase of Christchurch and Wellington musicians produced by Nigel Stone and Malcolm McNeill. It went on to become a finalist in the New Zealand (Tui) Music Awards.
Other albums include Live Takes-a duo album with Graham Wardrop, two albums with Janice Gray and one album with her vocal trio group Volare (which was named as album of the week by National Radio).
Elizabeth has also featured on National Radio in a program produced by Graham Wardrop along with her husband Dan Wilson (saxophone), Paul Dyne (bass), Roger Sellars (drums), and Terry Crayford (piano).
Past recent highlights include appearances at the Christchurch International Jazz Festival, Christchurch Arts Festival, Waipara Wine and Food Celebration, Wanganui Arts Festival and Toast Martinborough (Atarangi).
Elizabeth has played regularly at the Viaduct, Chrischurch Casino, Tuskers and The Blue Note in Christchurch She plays for many corporate and private functions nationally and internationally and has recently returned from her fourth tour of Papua New Guinea.
She heads the Department of Music at the Christchurch Rudolf Steiner School and wrtites and runs the vocals, piano, arranging and composition courses for the Rock Music Diploma at the Christchurch Polytechnic (CPIT) Jazz School.She lives in New Brighton, Christchurch with her husband and two daughters.
